A huge thanks to everyone who joined us at the Practices to People: Introduction to Community Communication for Exploration Geologists workshop! We were blown away by the enthusiastic discussion and engagement of all 60 participants who joined from 21 countries on the 4th and 5th April 2022.

It was truly inspiring to see students, early career and senior professionals striving to improve their communication skills and eager to drive positive change in the mining industry! We’re also pleased to announce we’ll be able to donate $1000 to the Moyo Gems initiative from PACT, which will provide Personal Protective Equipment to miners in sub-Saharan Africa.

We’d also like to thank our brilliant co-organisers from Ore Deposits Hub and the Social Practice Forum, as well as all our facilitators and speakers. A special thanks also to Sinese and Luis Chambel for their kind sponsorship of 10 places to participants who would be unable to attend otherwise.
